Curated by Nicola Regusci and Xavier Bustos, this exhibition takes place within the framework of Cities Connection Project (CCP), which was created with the desire to establish a connection between Barcelona and other European cities with an important architectural and cultural tradition. This edition connects 3 cities: Wallonia-Brussels, Barcelona and Basel. Shared living spaces is the theme chosen for this CCP06 edition. The sharing of spaces and activities, as well as the diversity of programs are the common points of the projects illustrated in this catalogue.
The exhibition exposición will travel to Basel in may 2022 and finally to Barcelona in the auttumn.
The Ateneu de Fabricació de Gracia work from OliverasBoixArquitectes has been selected in the XV Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Bienal. Almost 600 works have been submitted. The opening of the exhibition will take place on June 28 in Barcelona.

OliverasBoixArquitectos participates in the cycle of conferences organized by the Department of Architectural Projects of the Barcelona School of Architecture, with a talk to the 2nd year students. The conference, which takes the title "Starting on the roof", will focus on the intervention on existing buildings through 3 cases: Alchemika, the Montbau Library and the Ateneu de Fabricació de Gràcia.

The Alchemika facility complex is part of the exhibition Mixed Use, Mixed Time, Mixed People that the AMB and the IaaC present at the Mercè Sala de TMB Space. The exhibition, that participated in the first edition of the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, presents a selection of 6 hybrid equipments of the Barcelona metropolitan area. It can be visited until the end of June.

The work has been the only mention awarded by the jury in the category of Rehabilitation. OliverasBoixArquitectes win the BASF Architecture Prize with the project of teh Old Alchemika Factory civic facilities complex. The competition, organised by BASF with the collaboration of COAC, recognises projects of the last 5 years that have used a BASF product or solution.
The jury, consisting of Enric Mir, Gerald Wadel, Manuel Ruisánchez, as well as Carmen Moral and Andreas Moser, architects from BASF Spain, particularly noted, “the intelligent urban interaction of a complex and diverse social programme brought about by the rehabilitation of existing buildings and the construction of new ones to create high-quality architecture and spaces that respect the historical memory of the old site.”
Opening of the Caterina Albert public library in the Alchemika complex of public amenities. Construction of the new multipurpose building began in September 2009. The library has 2,800 m2 and is the first in Barcelona with a self-service borrowing system.
